Annual Financial Mathematics Festivals

This is our biggest event of the year for the Financial Mathematics program! We appreciate the continuing support to our students from the participating departments - Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, and Statistics. Now we are happy to invite their faculty and graduate students to join Mathematics as speakers from the financial sector bring very different experiences to us.

CIGNA Foundation Scholars

A number of graduates of FSU's Actuarial Science Program, including one already a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, work for or have been interns at CIGNA. In Fall '01, Stafford Thompson, FSA and a FAMU graduate, spoke to the actuarial students at a Florida State Student Actuarial Society meeting and then presented a gift from CIGNA which will fund awards for academic 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 to recognize strong students in the program.
