Thunderbird Instructions

1. [Create an Account] Click on Tools > Account Settings from the Thunderbird menubar. Then click on Add Account to begin setting up your e-mail account.

2. [Setup the Incoming Server] Click on the submenu item Server Settings and enter mail.math.fsu.edu for the Server Name and 995 for the Port. Select the SSL.

3. [Setup the Outgoing Server] Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP). Select your account and then press Edit....

4. [Setup the Outgoing Server cont.] Enter mail.math.fsu.edu for the Server Name if it's not already there. Enter 587 for the Port. Check the box Use name and password and be sure your username is shown in the User Name text field. Select TLS for the Use secure connection option.
