About Academic Probation
Graduate students are expected to maintain a cumulative grade point average (gpa) of 3.0 or better at FSU. A student whose gpa falls below 3.0 at the end of any semester is placed on academic probation for the following semester. After one probationary semester, a student whose cumulative gpa is still below 3.0 will receive automatic dismissal.
For more information, see the "Dismissal and Reinstatement" section of Academic Regulations and Procedures in the current Graduate Bulletin.
Honor Policy
All FSU students are bound by the FSU Academic Honor Policy, and it is every student's responsibility to understand this Policy. Penalties for violations can include a reduced course grade, including ''F'', probation, and dismissal from the University.
For details and a full explanation, please read the Academic Honor Policy section of the current Graduate Bulletin.
