Maple #8 is due Thursday 30 Mar 2000 For FULL credit STAPLE your sheets together. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Each plot must be rotated to a "nice" position and "look good (smooth)". Each plot must have include axes and the title must include your name and what was plotted. Note that the expressions below are not necessarily in a form that Maple likes. Be sure to answer the questions in 4. 1. Plot the following spacecurves (from test 1 fall 96) a. b. c. d. <4t, sin 4t, cos 4t> 2. Plot the following vector fields (from test 3 fall 96) a. b. <-y, x> c. d. <-x, -y> 3. Use Maple to find the equation of the flow line of 2b passing through the point (3,2). 4. Combine the graph of 2b and the flow computed in 3. Which numerical method is being used? 5. The curve , 0 <= t <= 2pi is particular hard to figure out from a spacecurve. One can use "tubeplot" with a "nice" radius and get a better picture of the curve. Do so. (careful, tubeplot can be very slow, decrease the radius and increase the numpoints.)
