Job Summary:
Position is responsible
for providing timely, accurate, and actionable data and analysis supporting the
department, area, and corporate key initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare monthly calculation of the CorporationÕs reserves.
- Submit annual Medicare and Medicaid filings, including all
supporting analysis.
- Develop actionable recommendations to management relative to all
analysis.
- Calculate profitability reports on appropriate business segments.
- Perform monthly analysis identifying opportunities to reduce cost
and utilization.
- Participate in cross functional teams to address key issues facing
the organization.
- Evaluate government reimbursement process to determine areas of
risk and opportunity.
- Participate in regional initiatives to improve operating results.
- Initiate key analysis to improve overall results.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Received/Exercised:
- General supervision through periodic checks on
progress and methodology.
Scope of Decisions:
- Decisions require technical expertise but are
often bound by policy, procedure or past practice.
Knowledge, Skills,
Abilities Required:
Education/Experience: (include
any licenses or certifications required)
- A minimum of (1) course passed under the Society
of Actuaries Exam Syllabus
- BachelorÕs degree, graduate degree and/or
significant industry experience.
- Ideally, one (1) to three (3) years relevant
healthcare or actuarial experience
Communication and Numeric
Skills:
- Oral and written communication skills sufficient
to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
Emphasis on ability to communicate effectively with senior management in
an articulate and concise manner.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
in order to coordinate the preparation of financial records.
Computer Skills:
- Ability to use computer applications
effectively, spreadsheets, database, and related graphics.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to communicate orally both in person and
on the telephone.
- Ability to move around the office.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and to view a
computer monitor

- Ability to work individually or as part of a
team.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with
changing priorities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
Working Conditions:
