Calculus III: a note on file formats


Practice problem sets and solutions to midterm exams are (usually) posted in two formats: as downloadable PDF files, and as XHTML+MathML pages. XHTML is the new standard for the HyperText Markup Language. It replaces the old HTML, and it has more capabilities. For example, XHTML+MathML is an extension that allows you to view inline math on the web within your browser window without the aid of images. So mathematical objects will flow and scale just like any other element in the web page.
