- A clarification of the first programming assignment
has been posted. It clarifies an assumption or fixes
a typographical error depending on you point of view.
It also adds extra time to the due date.

10AM until 2:15PM. They will be held
in 152 Dirac (use the southeast entrance
below the Computational Science sign,
you cannot reach 152 through the science
library)

- In order to encourage participation in the
annual programming contest (this saturday), the faculty
often awards modest extra credit to student
participants. I will therefore award
a 1 percent increase in the final semster
scores of such students. This amount is
consistent with the level of extra credit
awarded in other similar courses.

250 is full credit with 50 points extra credit possible.

covering Chapter 9 lectures and the material in the text.

Also note that the line size must be bigger than the largest
operand requested in the trace, i.e., you cannot have a line
size of 2 bytes and then request words.
