EVOLUTIONARY GAME THEORY

MAP 5932, Section 02, Spring 2014

(Class #03669)

This course will trace the development of evolutionary game theory from its inception in the 1970s and early 1980s to the present day—from the earliest contributions by Maynard Smith, Parker, Hammerstein, Eshel and others to recent developments in adaptive and evolutionary dynamics—and conclude by assessing the future direction of the field. We will emphasize applications to animal contest behavior, which dominated the field in its early days and are currently enjoying a resurgence after a relatively quiet interim. Primary research papers will serve as our text for exploring the models in depth.

Still under construction!

A logomachist said, feeling jerks
As he drove over potholes: "This irks
Me to great stupefaction —
The road's out of action ...
But signs still inform me ROAD WORKS!"

This is just a placeholder!
