Syllabus

This is designed to be an introductory seminar for graduate students wishing to learn how and where mathematics and computations are used in the field of brain mapping. Students will also learn about the neuroanatomy of the brain. We will read mathematical and scientific papers related to brain mapping and learn about current topics of research. Students will get to use software related to image processing and brain mapping. This is an ideal seminar for graduate students in biomathematics wishing to learn about some of the open problems in brain mapping.

Students will be expected to give at least one presentation in class. A maximum of 3 absences will be allowed in order to receive a passing grade. This class is graded S/U.
