I found analytic solutions describing
the shapes of DNA in the context of the elastic model. I examined particular
conformations relevant to current experimental research: the linear molecule
and the circular molecule. The project was completed successfully. One
paper describing the work has been published, and another has been submitted.
With PMMBís support I was also able to complete my Ph.D. dissertation.
Finally, the Fellowship gave me the resources to research and formulate
a proposal for a Sloan Foundation fellowship in structural biology. |
