Research Interest:
I am currently working at the National High Magnetic Field Lab located in Tallahassee. My advisor is Dr. John Quine. Our group mainly works with solid state nuclear magnetic resonance techniques to understanding the structure of proteins. We are also working on many new projects, involving experimental techniques and theory for quadrupolar nuclei . I am currently working on developing the quantum mechanical theory for quadrupolar nuclei in terms of irreducible representations of su(2). We extensively use perturbation theory and average Hamiltonian theory to explain many of the experimental observations.
I am also interested in the topology and geometry of 3-manifolds. Some interesting notes on 3-manifolds can be found at Allen Hatcher's homepage. You can also find notes on Seifert fibered 3-manifolds at Matthew Brin's homepage.
