A number of graduates of FSU's Actuarial Science Program, including one already a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, work for or have been interns at CIGNA. In Fall '01, Stafford Thompson, FSA and a FAMU graduate, spoke to the actuarial students at a Florida State Student Actuarial Society meeting and then presented a gift from CIGNA which will fund awards for academic 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 to recognize strong students in the program
