Florida State Student Actuarial Society
General Information
Introduction
Thank you for your interest in FSSAS. All students are welcome to attend events. FSSAS provides students with a forum in which they may discuss concerns and get answers to questions regarding the actuarial profession. The FSSAS provides, through outside speakers from the industry and through information shared by its members and sponsors, a good orientation about what is required to be a successful "student actuary". The FSSAS was formed by students separate from other mathematics clubs on campus because of the large amount of information future actuaries need which is not part of the class structure. FSSAS welcomes anyone interested in the actuarial profession to attend meetings and become active in its leadership. FSSAS is a progressive, growing society of students. Together we learn about future opportunities and share past experiences. Come see why FSSAS is one of the top student organizations on campus!

Our meetings always begin with refreshments since they are generally at the end of a long class day. There are timely announcements about upcoming course registrations (e.g., future offerings and registration in College of Business classes that are otherwise closed). Updated actuarial examination information is available. New testing requirements will be covered and any questions answered. Bring a friend to the next meeting and find out more about one of the top professions in the world today!
