Detailed description of research

My research interests concern the development of high order (spectral) methods for the solution of time dependent problems. Since spectral methods use global high order polynomial approximations, it might seem that they cannot be used for problems in complex geometries. This apparent limitation can be eliminated by using a multidomain approximation, wherein the domain of interest is subdivided into multiple subdomains.
