Detailed description of research

I have studied order properties of several classes of ideals of a commutative integral domains D (e.g., principal ideals, finitely generated ideals of D) and how these order properties impact the algebra of D (e.g., element factorization as products of prime elements, ideal factorization as products of prime ideals).

Secondary Interests
Algebraic number theory and the related mathematics necessary to understand why monic polynimials with integer coefficients produce a sequence of consecutive prime values.
