MAP 5932-03 is an applied graduate course. MAP 4934-01 is an applied undergraduate course.

Topics include: Banach spaces, Hilbert spaces, Frechet spaces, linear operators, spectral analysis of linear operators, Sobolev spaces, and then used them to prove existence and uniqueness of solutions to some linear and nonlinear PDEs using compactness and convexity methods.
