This course is intended to give the student some of the important basic
mathematical background needed to study more advanced courses in calculus,
discrete mathematics, and computer science.

attendance |
I strongly advise you to attend class regularly. A student absent from
class bears the full responsibility for all subject matter and
procedural information discussed in class. |

Generally, I expect you to get to class on time and not to leave class
until I have dismissed it. If you must leave class early, please let
me know before class begins. |
grading |
You will receive a unit grade based on your performance on a 100 point
unit test. The average of the four unit grades will be
converted to a letter grade according to the usual cutoffs (90-100 A-, A;
80-90 B-,B, B+; etc.). |
makeups |
No makeups are given. If you miss a test, 0 will be entered for your
grade on that test. |
