Exam Information
- Sets 15 and 16 are NOT on the Final Exam.
- The Final Exam is comprehensive and will take place at the time
scheduled on the Registar's Exam Schedule, Thursday May 4, 2023,
10:00AM -- 12:00PM. The rules are the same as the Midterm Exam.
- The midterm will be Thursday March 9, 2023 at 17:30 in the Math Conference Room 204A LOV.
- The midterm exam is planned to be on Thursday March 9, 2023 if a common time can be found among the class. This will
be held outside of class time to make sure time is not an issue
with your performance.
- It is suggested that the exam be in the early evening at a time agreeable
to all. For example, 5:30 - 7:30PM. Please email me ASAP with the times you are available and those you are not available on Thursday and also Wednesday as a back up.
- The Midterm Exam is a closed book exam. You may not use class notes, homework solutions or any other reference material.
A simple graphing calculator is permitted. Electronic devices with network connectivity or sufficient storage capacity to contain notes or other reference material are not permitted.
- You may prepare and use 2, 8 inch by 11 inch,
sheets of paper with handwritten notes only on both sides of each sheet, i.e., a total of 4 sides of handwritten notes are allowed).
Any attempt to use any other reference material other than the two pieces of paper will result in a failing grade
on the exam.
- The Midterm Exam will cover all material through the definition
of piecewise polynomial interpolation. (Splines are not included).
This includes all lecture, notes, and homeworks. Review of associated study questions is also encouraged. Note that Study Questions Set 2 has questions related to piecewise polynomial interpolation that are relevant to the midterm exam.
