First Midterm Exam: Monday, October 8. Covers sections 1-36 of the text, excluding sections 23, 27, 28. (Note: you should still work the suggested HW problems in section 23.)

Second Midterm Exam: Friday, November 16. Covers sections 37-56 of the text, excluding section 42 (but do the suggested exercises from this section anyway; they might help!)

Friday, December 14, 7:30-9:30 am. Cumulative; covers all material on previous quizzes and tests, plus sections 68-74.

• Quiz 1, Wednesday, September 5. Covers sections 1-6.
• Quiz 2, Wednesday, September 12. Covers sections 7-11.
• Quiz 3, Wednesday, September 19. Covers sections 12-17. (For your studying, do the suggested HW probs from section 18 also, because they only use material from section 17.)
• Quiz 4, Wednesday, September 26. Covers sections 18-25. (The material introduced in Section 23 is not on the quiz, but you should do the suggested problems from that section, because they are good practice for the other sections.)
• Test 1, Monday, October 8. Covers sections 1-36 of the text, excluding sections 23, 27, 28. (Note: you should still work the suggested HW problems in section 23.)
