Abstract.
Understanding the structure and function of proteins is one of the central
topics in classical biology. We study the ways to apply computational and
mathematical tools in modeling conserved features of protein families. In
particular, we study protein sequence alignments, the structures that show
relationships between the sequences in a protein family.
