Title: On Zeta Functions of Twisted Modular Curves
Affiliation: Columbia University
Date: Thursday, January 24, 2008
Place and Time: Room 101, Love Building, 2:00-3:00 pm

Abstract. The zeta functions of twisted modular curves were computed by Shimura etc. In this talk we determine the zeta functions of twisted modular curves and prove the meromorphic continuations and functional equations in some quite general cases. If time allows we will say something about some more general varieties called Shimura varieties of PEL type whose zeta functions were computed in some famous papers of Kottwitz.
