EXAMPLE 1.6.16 SOLUTION

Since no three of the points lie on the same line, each combination of three points, used as vertices, will produce a unique triangle. The order in which the three points as chosen doesn't matter. C(10,3) = 120 different triangles are possible. Likewise, each combination of four points, used as vertices, will form a different quadrilateral. C(10,4) = 210 different quadrilaterals. 120 triangles + 210 quadrilaterals = 330 different figures.
