Title: Brain Mapping and Modeling Cortical Fold Formation in the Brain
Affiliation: Florida State University

Abstract. The human brain is highly folded with significant fold variation across individuals and species. My research focuses on using Turing system models of pattern formation to investigate the development of folding patterns in the brain. I will present some of the PDE models my group has developed and discuss open research problems, such as how our models can be enhanced and how conformal mapping may be used to investigate individual folding variabilty.
