  Tenure-track Positions in Mathematics at FSU

Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in biomathematics at Florida State University, beginning August, 2009. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics and postdoctoral experience in some area of biomathematics. Those with research interests and experience in any area of biomathematics are encouraged to apply. Current research interests of the biomathematics group include neuroscience, computational anatomy, biofluids, game theory and complexity science, and protein biophysics.

The mathematics department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in biomathematics, as well as degrees in other areas. The biomathematics faculty have strong ties to interdisciplinary programs in Molecular Biophysics and Neuroscience at FSU, and to other faculty in biology and chemistry. FSU has a new medical school, as well as an NSF-funded National High Magnetic Field Lab where collaborative opportunities are available.
