Temporary Internet Access for Mathematics Guests

There are three ways for Mathematics guests to obtain temporary Internet access at FSU:

1. Eduroam

Eduroam is a secure, worldwide Internet access service that allows members to easily connect their mobile device to a wireless network connection when visiting other participating institutions, helping to facilitate research collaborations and education around the world. If your parent organization is academic, there is a good chance that it is an Eduroam affiliate.

2. FSUGuest Guest Registration

Guests can self-register on FSUGuest to access free, public WIFI for one day while on Florida State University's main campus. Guest registration requires one text message to a cell phone from one of the following carriers: Sprint, Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile. If the guest does not have a suitable phone, the faculty host or a Mathematics staff member can help.

3. Sponsored Guests

Guests who will be staying for an extended period of time or who require access to secure FSU resources (e.g. restricted library databases, VPN, Canvas) should apply for sponsored guest access. The faculty host or a Mathematics staff member will assist with this process by submitting a case to the FSU Service Center. It is best to start this process before arrival, as it can take up to 10 days.
