FSU Math Colloquium Series Guidelines for Speakers
First, THANK YOU for agreeing to visit us and speak in our colloquium series!
What is the FSU Math Colloquium?
Our colloquium is a weekly Department-wide event and also a required course in our graduate curriculum. We would like it to be an event where students and faculty from all areas can learn about some new mathematics in an enjoyable way.
Please plan to limit your talk to 50 minutes.
A significant part of your talk should be accessible to first year graduate students.
Your talk does not have to be primarily about your own work, but in any case the topic should be set in a broader context for the benefit of those outside your field.
