Abstract.The majority of this talk covers some classical theories of "singular integral operators". We begin by introducing the most basic type of singular integral, and discuss several equivalent ways of thinking about these operators. We then uses these different perspectives to understand some more complicated situations. At the end of the talk, we use these perspectives to discuss some new directions concerning singular integrals.
