Abstract. In this talk, we will present our recent results on the inverse source problems for the Helmholtz equation. It is easy to show that there is no uniqueness for the inverse source problem if only single frequency data is used. The conditional stability estimate is established for the inverse source problems with the multi-frequency data. The proof is based on the unique continuation with respect to the frequency k and the controllability for the hyperbolic equations.
